Who Are We?
We are a diverse group with one thing in common, Miatas! We consist of people of all ages and walks of life. Some join the Club for social reasons, others for our fun drives, and others for the hard core customizing and motor sports events we participate in. Our member’s vehicles range from the purist who feel the best Miata is a bone stock to those who have fire breathing turbo charged Miatas that intimidate V-8s! Please feel free to join us on our next gathering to see first hand what we’re all about. You may also contact any of the officers if you have any questions. Peruse our web site and enjoy. Look for exciting new developments both online and in the Club activities. Feel free to offer any feedback. Now stop looking at this website and go drive your Miata! We all need to give Matt a huge round of thanks for planning such a great run. We were on some really nice roads with very little traffic after lunch. I know we've been on a couple of them before, but there were a few new ones that were really nice. As a plus, the location of the roads are in a place where they could be added to the Sligo run. We had 16 cars and 24 club members brave the heat for the event. I have to be honest in letting you know that most made the run with the tops up and A/C on. But there were a few hardcore members that braved the temperatures for a fun filled topless day.
The restaurant was pretty good. I think we overwhelmed them with 24 club members at once. The food was pretty good and the company was even better. I wanted to take a moment to remind everyone that while the club won't be participating in the years Miatas at the Gap event, we are still planning on making a run to the mountains in the fall. This will be a really nice get-away for some cooler temps and to see that the leaves actually do change colors in the fall. Since the Lodge has closed, we have made the Microtel in Robbinsville as our home away from home. We've secured a special rate for the stay. There is a thread in the forum with all of the details. Another thing that I wanted to mention is that the Natchez trip in August has been canceled. We are going to have a nice run and dinner at Middendorfs in Manchac. Does anyone recall the last time we went to Middendorfs? It was August of 2005, the week before a nasty little storm rolled into town. Hopefully history wont repeat itself. We've stream lined the forum to make it a little easier to use. Check it out and let us know what you think. Please don't be afraid to post your questions or opinions. That's why we have it. I know this club and everyone has plenty of things to say about everything Now go drop the top, and go for a drive!
